Cutting Image With Photoshop Using Extract Filter

Open an image in photoshop


Duplicate layer (right click on layer palette), hide the background image by clicking on the eye in front of the layer, and activate a background copy.

Go to menu > Filter > Extract
Select the Edge Highlighter Tool, and set the Tool Option.

Draw an outline around the part of the image that you want to extraxt.

Use Magnifier if you need to zoom image while working with it, and use the hand to move image around. And use the eraser to remove your selection if you accidentally paint over the image.
As you finish make a selection, select the Paint Bucket Tool and fill your selection. And your image should look like this.

press cancel if you want to make the necessary changes. And press OK if you are happy with the result.

Define Brush

With photoshop, we can make brushes with any shape that you want, and used it every time u need to used that.

Okay, now we shall to try to make a brush.

Make a new image with white background, make a new layer on top of your white background, and draw a shape and fill it with black.


Now, select your image, and go to edit > copy



Make a new file with transparent background, and paste.



Now, go to edit > define brush. And name it whatever you want and press OK.



Now, select your paint brush tool, and you will notice a new menu appears at the top. From this menu, click on the triangle and find your brush. Select a color and start drawing !

Define Pattern

At this moment we shall make a pattern and use it to fill any selection.

Open a new image with a white background.

Make a new layer, and make the shape that you want to repeat in your pattern.

Now, select your image, and copy (ctrl+c).

And make a new image with a transparent background, and paste your image into the new file.



Now, go to edit > define pattern.
Name your pattern whatever you wish and press OK.

And now, use a Paint Bucket Tool to use your new pattern.
When you select a paint bucket tool, you will notice a new set options at the top.

Select the drop-down menu, and choose “pattern”

And select the nexy drop-down menu, and chose your new pattern.

And now, make a new file, and fill it with your paint bucket tool.
